What is considered formal learning?
Updated 05/11/2019 11.27 AMFormal learning is the learning that takes place through a structured program of learning that leads to the full or partial achievement of an officially accredited qualification. Examples of where formal learning takes place, includes:
- study undertaken with Australian higher education providers (e.g. universities, TAFE colleges)
- study at recognised overseas institutions
- credentialed programs provided by recognised professional bodies, employers and other authorities.
