How much can I borrow under the Higher Education Loan Scheme (HELP)?

Updated 17/08/2022 10.26 AM
The combined HELP loan limit is the amount you can borrow from the Australia government for your study. The limit includes all previous FEE-HELP, VET FEE-HELP and VET student loan amounts you have borrowed. It also includes any HECS-HELP loans for courses with a census date on or after the 1 January 2020.
SA-HELP, OS-HELP and loans fees are not included in your combined HELP loan limit.
You can view your combined HELP loan limit, and track your HELP balance as you progress through your studies, on the myHELPbalance portal.
Further information can be found on Government HELP loans.
