I am an international student. Can I study online (i.e. no face-to-face courses) in Trimester 3?

Yes. You are able to study online in Trimester 3, however there are conditions:

  • If you are on a student visa, you can only study online for 25% of your total program. This means that if you are enrolled in an 80 credit point (cp) degree program, you can only complete two 10cp courses (total of 20cp) via online study.
  • If you are a current student and Trimester 3 is not compulsory in your program, you can enrol in online courses without needing to be enrolled in at least one on-campus course.

If you are a sponsored student
You will need to gain approval from your sponsor via the Financial Aid and Scholarships / Sponsorships office.

If you are commencing study in Trimester 3
You will be required to undertake a minimum study load of 40 credit points, with at least one on-campus course, in order to meet your international student visa obligations.
