I am an international student. Can I study online (i.e. no face-to-face courses) in Trimester 3?

Yes. You are able to study online in Trimester 3, however there are conditions:

  • If you hold a student visa, you can only study online for one third of your total program. This means that if you are enrolled in a 240 credit point (cp) degree program, you can only complete eight 10cp courses (total of 80cp) via online study.
  • If you are a current student and Trimester 3 is not compulsory in your program, you can enrol in online courses without needing to be enrolled in at least one on-campus course.

If you are a sponsored student
You will need to gain approval from your sponsor via the Financial Aid and Sponsorship office.

If you are commencing study in Trimester 3
You will be required to undertake a minimum study load of 40 credit points, with at least one on-campus course in order to meet your international student visa obligations.
