Semesters had 13 teaching weeks but trimesters only have 12 teaching weeks. Does this mean students will miss out on a week of tuition?

No. The change to the length of the teaching period should not affect your learning. The University has affirmed that the workload specified by the credit point value of a course applies regardless of the length of the course (year, trimester, intensive teaching period) or the mode of delivery (online, on-campus or blended).

As a general guide, the workload is approximately 150 hours for a 10 credit point course, including all forms of teaching contact (face to face and online), assessment tasks and private study, for an 'average' student. This reflects the national standard for higher education courses.

Please refer to the academic calendar for the specific trimester dates.
