What is Maths B?

Senior students in Queensland study Authority subjects which are used to calculate their OP (Overall Position).

Maths B focuses on a higher level of Mathematics than Maths A and is the level of study required for programs such as Engineering and many of the health programs at Griffith University.

To meet the Maths B prerequisite applicants must complete 4 semester units at Sound Achievement (4SA) level or better.

Completion of Maths C will meet the Maths B prerequisite, however Prevocational Maths and Maths A will not.

For NSW applicants Maths B (4SA) is the equivalent of 2 unit Mathematics.
