I am a new international student and have just arrived in Australia. What do I do next?

To welcome you to Griffith University and give you the information you need to be successful, we organise a number of activities and events during Orientation Week (O-Week).

Orientation week is usually held a week before classes start. You can find out about O-Week activities and how to register for events by using the O-Week Planner. Remember to attend both your School Orientation and International Student Orientation sessions. Attendance at your International Student Orientation session is compulsory. If you have trouble attending or have missed your International Student Orientation session please see an International Student Advisor for further advice.

If you have arrived after O week and missed your School and International Orientation sessions don’t panic, we’ve created myOrientation. myOrientation provides a personalised journey to help you with tasks such as enrolling, getting a student ID card, understanding our online systems, committing to a safe and inclusive campus. You can access myOrientation via the orientation tile in myGriffith.

When you arrive at campus if you’re still not sure where to go or what to do, just ask one of our friendly Griffith Mates. They will be wearing red shirts and are happy to help you.
