What is GAMSAT?

GAMSAT is the Graduate Australian Medical School Admissions Test. GAMSAT is developed by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) in conjunction with the Consortium of Graduate Medical Schools to assist in the selection of students to participate in the graduate-entry programmes.

Applicants for the Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Griffith University School of Medicine are required to sit the GAMSAT and acheive a minimum score of 50 in each section in order to be considered for selection to interview.

The actual GAMSAT Scores required to be successful in getting an interview or offer of a place are usually much higher than the required minimum score and they change from year to year depending on the results of the overall Applicant pool.
