What degree should I study to gain entry into the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program?

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) is a graduate entry four year extended Masters (AQF level 9) program and applicants are encouraged from all degree backgrounds.

High achieving school leavers looking to pursue a career in medicine may be interested in applying for the Bachelor of Medical Science (MD Provisional Entry for School Leavers) as an accelerated pathway into medicine. This is a three year fulltime equivalent program offered in an intensive mode over 2 years.

Alternatively, because we accept and encourage graduates from all disciplines, you could apply for and complete any degree program. On completion of your degree you would be required to sit the GAMSAT and apply for entry to the MD via GEMSAS.
